RapidSand^® Plus Clarifier

TECHNICAL INFORMATION

The RapidSand^® plus clarifier is a multifunctional high-rate clarifier technology that combines solids recirculation, solid contact, ballast addition, sludge thickening and sludge dewatering in a single unit to enhance setting rates and increasing the performance of treated water  and saving the footprint.

The microsand introduced when flocculation is taking place to reach the fastest sedimentation rate, and the sludge produced at the hydrocyclone overflow is sent to sludge thickening, the supernatant is returned to the flocculation, and the thickened sludge is pumped to sludge dewatering.
