RapidSludge™ Clarifier

TECHNICAL INFORMATION

The RapidSludge™ clarifier is a high-rate physical-chemical and multi-purpose settling process that can be used to meet the different needs of the end user, this clarifier combines sludge ballasted clarification and lamellar filtration, starting with a addition of coagulation to destabilize suspended solids, flocculation with the aid of a polymer and external sludge recirculation providing many particle to act as ballast to accelerate the settling of floc, and enhanced clarification with lamellar settlers that increase settling velocities .

The RapidSand™ clarifier has four zones: one fast mixing  zone for coagulation, one flocculation zone for the flocs increase with polymer addition, and the clarification zone is equipped with a scraper and lamellar where the high TSS removal performance is reached, the last one is sludge zone where the sludge thickening is achieved through the mechanical blades that removes the sludge precipitated to the sloping bottom of the tank, the sludge accumulated is then pumped to flocculation zone or discharged for sludge dewatering.
