EcoMBBR™ + RapidSand^®

TECHNICAL INFORMATION

The EcoMBBR™ is a very compact moving bed biofilm reactor that operates continuously using specific plastic media to grow biofilm and provides effective biochemical oxygen demand (BOD) removal capability as well as ammonia and nitrogen removal. 

The high-rate clarifier RapidSand^® is a compact process that operates with microsand as a seed for floc formation, which will act as final biomass separation and provide high quality effluent discharge. t
The combination of  EcoMBBR™ + RapidSand^® technologies offers the Client a flexible treatment capable of overcoming variable flow and and efficient solution to remove COD, BOD, TN, TP and TSS, furthermore, the total footprint becomes extremely compact when combined the former and the later.

Contrary to activated sludge system, biomass leaving EcoMBBR includes only the growth since there is no sludge recycle, the TSS to be separated is far less than in actvated sludge system, this makes it possible to combine the EcoMBBR™ with RapidSand technology.
